‘Having been smothered by bass music from an earlier age than most, it’s little wonder Bristol’sĀ Julio Bashmore went on to become one of the more revered contemporary practitioners of the genre and as he here pairs up with fellow West Country producer Hyetal for the so-calledĀ Velour project, it’s again barely surprising that the duo should move into the velveteen realm of louche ’80s disco.
