‘The best line up of the year proffered just about the best layabout of a lifetime back there…’

Our finest Latitude thus far, read up on quite what made this year’s Suffolk hoedown so special. Beyond the inevitable, the inevitable being the bookings of, ooh, Sharon Van Etten & Lana Del Rey & Yeasayer (oh Yeasayer) & Rufus Wainwright & Kwes. & Walls. We could continue…

July’s Latitude is in need of little introduction. Consistently one of these isles’ finest, this year’s rundown certainly solidifies rather than sullies such notion: highlights musical are plentiful and of the most perfect order, taking in the likes of Battles & Sharon Van Etten & Baxter Dury & Perfume Genius & Explosions In The Sky & Yeasayer. To resort to mild hyperbole, if you’ve not yet seen the full line up you may need a moment to pop eyes back into vacant sockets having done so and indeed if further enticement were in any way necessary, Lana Del Rey’s scribbled in to play The Word Arena. However if you’re still clinging onto functioning lugholes, please do hurl this here playlist right down them: in association with Latitude we’ve plucked out some presupposed points of superbness in a vague attempt to ready for the festival and aurally reconstruct its very aesthetic.

This year’s Latitude takes place in Southwold’s Henham Park over the weekend of July 12th-15th. A variety of ticketing options are available here as of now.
